Alejo Cabral is a transplant to Wichita. Alejo was born and raised in Chula Vista, CA, is a first generation American, the son of two immigrant parents, youngest sibling of three, and husband to a wonderful wife. Alejo first came to Wichita in August of 2011 to play football at Bethel College in North Newton, KS, where he first met his future wife. After sustaining an injury and deciding he did not wish to make millions in the NFL Alejo transferred to Wichita State University. Whilst at WSU he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from WSU’s Barton School of Business, with a double major in Marketing and Management.

At The Chamber of Commerce Alejo serves as the Director of Young Professionals of Wichita. He is responsible for guiding YPW strategically to ensure that quality events and programing are created that move them towards accomplishing their mission; to attract, engage, and retain diverse young talent of effect positive change for a brighter future.

When Alejo is away from The Chamber and YPW he enjoys traveling with his wife, watching his hometown Padres, immersing himself in an old fashion paper bound book, supporting the local coffee shop economy, and reminiscing on what could have been an illustrious NFL career.
