The WSU Current Conditions Index decreased 0.6 percent from April to May. All of the index indicators showed deterioration during that time period. Employment declined as the unemployment rate increased 0.2 percentage points. The hours and earnings of production employees decreased as well, 1.9 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively. However, from May 2012 to May 2013 the index value increased 0.3 percent.
