The WSU Current Conditions Index increased in each of the four quarters of 2012. From fourth quarter 2011 to fourth quarter 2012, the Index grew 4.6 percent. From third to fourth quarter 2012, home sales increased 6.5 percent and the unemployment rate decreased by 1 percentage point. Outbound airline passengers and airfreight shipments declined, for losses of 4.6 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively. All indicators are seasonally adjusted.
