The WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index was relatively unchanged from October to November. Five of the nine Index indicators deteriorated during that time frame, while four of the indicators improved. The real value of building permits in Wichita, both residential and nonresidential, had the largest percentage declines from month to month.

When comparing the 12 months ending in November with the previous 12 months, the Index declined 0.3 percent. The volatility during that time frame sapped the predominantly forward momentum of 2011.
