The WSU Current Conditions Index was on a relatively steady upward trend for the 10 months ending in November; although the gain in November was slight, at only 0.1 percent. Half of the Index indicators showed improvement in November, while the other half declined. The best news in November was a 0.5 percent increase in total wage and salary employment in the Wichita MSA and another 0.1 percent decline in the unemployment rate.
