The WSU Current Conditions Index grew 2.9 percent from January through May. From April to May, two of the Index components improved. The number of outbound airline passengers at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport increased 9.3 percent, and employment increased 0.7 percent. Although home sales declined 4.7 percent from April to May, there was a 7.3 percent increase in home sales when comparing the 12 months ending in May with the previous 12 months. All indicators are seasonally adjusted.
