Although the WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index declined slightly from December 2011 to January 2012, it increased 9 percent when comparing the 12 months ending in January to the previous 12 months. The 9 percent year-over-year increase is a positive sign for Wichita’s economy over the next six months.
