WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index Struggles for Stability

The WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index increased 0.5 percent in May. Significant fluctuations in the value of nonresidential construction permits have had an impact on the Index in 2010. Although the Index rose six of the seven months ending in May, the Index value declined 1.7 percent over that time period. Learn more about the indicators that comprise the Index.
