Economic Impact Study

Understand the True Value of Your Projects and Investments

At the Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR), our economic impact studies provide clear, data-driven insights into how projects, businesses, and events affect local, regional, or state economies. Whether you’re seeking to inform stakeholders, support a funding proposal, or evaluate the return on investment for a major initiative, an economic impact study can provide the evidence you need to make informed decisions.

What Is an Economic Impact Study?

An economic impact study estimates how an activity—such as a new development, expansion, event, or policy—affects the economy through job creation, business activity, income generation, and tax revenue. These studies measure:

  • Direct impacts: Immediate jobs, income, and spending generated by the activity
  • Indirect impacts: Business-to-business spending within the supply chain
  • Induced impacts: Household spending as a result of new income in the community

CEDBR utilizes industry-standard models, including IMPLAN, to deliver customized, defensible, and easy-to-understand results.
