The WSU Current Conditions Index decreased 0.2 percent from May to June. The index indicators that showed deterioration during that time period were the average weekly earnings of production employees and the unemployment rate.

However, from June 2012 to June 2013 the index value remained nearly the same. A 0.2 percent drop in employment was countered by a 0.4 percent decrease in the unemployment rate, a 1.4 percent increase in the average weekly hours of production employees, and a 1.2 percent increase in the average weekly earnings of production employees.
