The WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index decreased 0.9 percent from April to May. That decrease was primarily due to a 0.6 percent decline in the Aircraft Production Index, a monthly indicator available from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. From May 2012 to May 2013, the index decreased 0.4 percent. Based on the available information for the leading indicators, the level of economic activity over the next six months is predicted to decrease 0.18 percent.
