Despite a recent downturn in the WSU Current Conditions Index, its overall performance remained stable when comparing the 12 months ending in January with the previous 12 months. From December to January the seasonally adjusted hotel occupancy rate in Wichita increased 1.2 percentage points. Seasonally adjusted nonfarm employment increased 3 percent, and the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased 0.4 percentage points.
