Deb Farris

Deb Farris co-anchors the 5, 6 & 10 o’clock newscasts on KAKE TV.  

Deb covered crime for years for KAKE News, and has reported on everything from the BTK trial to the Greensburg tornado. In 1990, Deb traveled to Saudi Arabia to cover the first Gulf Crisis.

She has earned three Emmy Awards for her work on KAKE News, along with two regional Edward R. Murrow awards. She has also received numerous Kansas Broadcasting Association Awards for her investigative reporting.

Deb grew up on a farm in Iowa before moving to Pratt, Kansas. She graduated from Pratt High School before attending Fort Hays State University. Deb Graduated with a degree in communications with an emphasis in television broadcasting.

During her time off, Deb enjoys spending time with her two children, Josie and Jake, reading, working out, gardening, watching sports and shopping.
